About Meals In The City

A couple of year’s ago, my friends came over to watch the Academy Awards. I had spent all morning cleaning in anticipation of the big event. The place was spotless. I had wine chilled and even broke out the good glasses. After a while, we needed a break from the action. So, what do you do to pass time? That’s right, eat! But aside from a few chips packed away in the corner of the cupboard, there was no food. How could I have forgotten to get food? There was no need to panic though (or so we thought) because we could just order food.

One big problem: I had just moved into the area and didn't know where to go. We tried the yellow pages. Not much help there. Unless “pizza” or “Chinese” was in the name of the place we didn't even know what the restaurants served, and trying to find out if they delivered was almost impossible. So, we tried the Internet. This seemed like a logical idea since everything is on the Internet. To our surprise, we found nothing besides a couple of places that didn't even have their menus available online.

Finally we ended up calling the local pizza place and found out they did not deliver to my zip code. After calling two more pizza locations, I finally got in touch with one that delivered to my house. What a hassle! We just needed a service that provided a list of restaurants in my area.

So here we are!
